Point A is the input side of the single-phase regulator, and point B is the output side of the single-phase regulator
In fact, this type of voltage regulator with direct voltage regulator is made of the principle of autotransformer. In the figure, the AN side is the input side of the autotransformer, and the BN side is the output side of the autotransformer. If the input voltage is higher than the output set point 220V, the autotransformer will work in the step-down state. If the input voltage is lower than 220V, the autotransformer will work in the step-up state (shown in the figure is in the step-down state)
This regulator is different from the autotransformer mainly in that the input point A can slide arbitrarily between 0V and 250V. In this way, the input point of the input voltage can be adjusted at any time to meet the constant output voltage. Generally, we call point A on the input side as a sliding arm, which is driven by a motor through a deceleration device, and the steering of the motor is controlled by a voltage stabilizing control circuit.
The sampling circuit of the regulator monitors the voltage between the output two points of the regulator at all times. When the output voltage rises, the motor is controlled to move in the direction of the autotransformer step-down (as shown in Figure 2) when the output voltage reaches the desired voltage, stop Control motor movement. On the other hand, the control circuit controls the motor to rotate in the direction of the autotransformer boost. (Figure 3) Stop when the desired voltage is reached.
The capacity of this type of voltage regulator is fully borne by the autotransformer of the output voltage transformer, but due to the influence of its manufacturing process, it cannot be made large and can only be adapted to low-power occasions. To phase the power of the regulator to do more, it is necessary to add a compensation transformer to achieve the power of the regulator to expand.

In order to make the power of the voltage regulator larger, it is necessary to add a compensation transformer to realize the power expansion of the voltage regulator.
three phase regulator working principle:
The three-phase voltage regulator is actually to connect the three voltage regulator units together with a "Y" connection. Then the control circuit board and motor drive system are used to control the voltage regulating transformer to achieve the function of stabilizing the output voltage. If the sliding arms of the three voltage regulating transformers are all driven by a motor, the voltage regulating method is a unified regulator. If the sliding arms of the three voltage regulating transformers are independently adjusted by three motors, the voltage regulator is a three-phase split regulator. Their working principle is exactly the same as that of a single-phase regulator.
